Tyler has endured 8 heart surgeries with a large reason being that his body rejected foreign tissue. The Fischer Heart Foundation is dedicated to raising money that allows doctors to create heart valves from a patients own tissue, decreasing the risk of foreign rejection. After Tyler learned about research being conducted by his Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Dr. Bacha, he was fully behind the mission to help fund the research.
